Dawn 3 04

Dawn Patrol number 3 to Maquoketa, Iowa. We had 15 planes a couple drive-in's, that we appreciate very much, and 21 attending. Everyone agreed that they had a great time and the flying was nice.

Dawn's early light and JR prepares his plane. Joe Schaack was at the controls.

Steve Greer flew in from McNeil Field to fly over with us.

Jerry Gott and Alan Millage also flew in with Steve.

Mike Housenga & Steve Bornhoeft taxi out.

Heading out...

There was a little rain that wasn't making it to the ground. Dry air below.

Overall a beautiful day.

Nice sunrise.

3 Challengers ahead and 2 behind.

Cross the Mississippi and north west.

Looks like some are already here.

On Final.

This is a nice airport to visit. Lots of parking.

Our hosts Denny and Sherri Kremer.

Had some new people with the group this year.

The clouds lingered all day.

JR took Denny Kremer's plane for a quick flight.

What's that back there a Aeronca?

Had to go check it out.

Ralph Zahnle from Ottumwa, IA flew in with his AirCoupe.

I caught Steve with Patty in the men's room.

Ken Perron (L) Don Berridge (C) and Angel Blazquez.

Group minus the camera man.

Time to head home.

Cletus' place.

Had a few rain drops but just brief.

On final to Erie.

Ted Wink (R) just purchased a Challenger II.

Both the McNeil Field planes flew into Erie before returning.

But the day has just started.

Jerry and Alan head home.

Steve Greer is now at McNeil Field.

JR was out flying Pegasus.
