Jim, Thanks for all the assistance on painting the Challenger II with
Sherwin Williams exterior paint. Finally all the bugs are out of the
Rotax 582 and temps are real cool on the EGT/CHT and Coolant.. Planes a
bit ruddery, but not a problem so far. Ended up with 15 degree of pitch
on a Powerfin prop to get all the correct RPM’s and temps that I needed.
Thanks again for all the help. Doesn’t look bad for a 4 inch roller and
Sherwin William 25 exterior latex paint. Real easy to touch up also.
Currently have 8.7 hours of flying time. Need to have completed 40 hours
before passengers are allowed. Cruise speed is 90 mph and top speed is
110. Currently 19.2 MPG yet engine break in has not been completely
